When Year Three applications began to roll in, we realized our decision was going to be even harder than usual. Amidst some other really killer applicants, two rose to the top that were doing amazing things in Indy and a perfect cultural fit for our team too. We couldn't pick just one. To prove we're certifiably crazy, we decided to award both INDYCOG and Earth House with a new website. The more the merrier, right?
We holed up in the café at Earth House with teams from both nonprofits and the 'Boxers divided in half. Lydia led the process with INDYCOG, while Leigh headed up designs and planning for Earth House. The moment we had a rough sitemap and wireframe, the teams were off and running. We had whole teams building out the site content in Wrangle while design and development were in progress. Every member of the team was engaged in full gear.
Despite the heavy workload, we were able to take a few breaks. We had a ghost hunting tour of the second floor and bell tower at Earth House. We raised a few hundred dollars for each nonprofit by offering up videos of us dancing and performing personalized cheers (back flips included, courtesy of Dan). Jordan Updike serenaded us with his acoustic guitar and we had access to all of the tea and espresso our hearts could desire, courtesy of Earth House's café. And we can't lie, there were a few naps on the cozy couches, and one accidental nap in someone's car (we actually thought Justin Lacey might have been whisked away by ghosts for a minute there).
With two sites edging towards completion we were down to the wire, but we finished in half-delirium and with full hearts.
Bohlsen PR came in with a super-fantastic donation of $100 at the wee hours of the morning (a.k.a. when everyone else was starting their day).
First, a reminder that both sites are now live! Check out the new Earth House and INDYCOG sites.
We are rushing around trying to get everything all ready for launch!
So this just happened. We apologize we are not used to staying awake.
