Feeling good about year one, we decided to go for another year of the Project. This time, we couldn't resist the idea of spending 24 hours at the Madame Walker Theatre Center, a beautiful venue and organization steeped in Indianapolis tradition.
To up the ante from last year, we chose to live stream the event online and conduct the Project on the Theatre's stage, inviting the public to stop by. The live streaming gave way to dancing for donations in the wee hour of the night, and included a few serenades (and the start of a tradition) from the MWTC team.l
This year we were fortunate to receive food sponsorships from Starbucks, Papa Johns, and Zing!, which helped with our late night munchies. RTV-6 highlighted the Project (with an interview from Jeb) on their morning news show, and after a few internet connection glitches, we launched the site on time and promptly went home to sleep.
We are very excited to announce that we have chosen Madame Walker Theatre Center as our 2010 24 Hour Web Project recipient!
The application deadline for the next 24 Hour Web Project is October 24th.
